i have a bank of america debit card which is great. you put your money in a checking account and you use the money in there. make sure they put a lock on it so that you never go over and spend more than what you have because then they will charge you $35 for everytime you spend over. you don't need to take anything with you but you need to have your personal information and about $100 to start in your account. Also, the only atm that wont charge you anything on the bank of america debit card is a bank of america atm machine. Good luck.

that is how they earn money. Well go to the bank and just need your ID but if you want to be prepared bring a printed statement or they can print it for you there.

The credit card companies need you. You don't need them. So be picky. 1) Don't accept any card with a annual fee. 2) Start with a secured credit card. 3) Don't let anyone else have access to your card or account.

What you need is a debit card. You need to read all the fine print. Most charge you a fee to withdraw money if you use an ATM that the bank doesn't own. Sometimes the bank that owns the ATM charges you a fee and your bank charges you a fee. If you use the debit card to pay for purchases then you don't get charged a fee. If you use it to pay for something then you say it is a credit card, then you will sign instead of putting in your pin# that way no one can get your pin #. Just words of wisdom.
