Has anyone ever been mistreated by American Express Credit Card Co.?
Once I decided to cancel my American Express Costco credit card, all hell broke loose. They got so mad, that they decided to sabotage my account by stating that they cancelled the account. By law they are required to save telephone requests; mine clearly stated I don't want the card anymore! Bunch of blood sucking vultures.

While they are a lousy outfit, they did not sabotage your account, they simply canceled it at your request. It will show on your credit report that the account was closed by account holder. It will affect your score a little as you now have a lower line of credit available, but it would not affect any applications as long as you have "paid as agreed" and have no late payments posted. Yes, and is why I will never ever carry their credit card again. I don't know about you but every time I see their commercials I get upset how they come off to the public as a people friendly, small business owner helping company. It's a bunch of BS.
