Why Microsoft never fight back?

For a long time, Apple has introduce a bunch of commercial hitting on Microsoft, For example, "I am a Mac, and I am a PC" commerical. It's understandable that Microsoft don't have much to fight back when they have vista, but since window 7 release, why don't they fight back and get some customer back from Apple. Obviously, Mac is not a bad computer, but it is not perfect, there is still a lot of things that Microsoft is better, Like: Microsoft can run math program faster (personal experience) HDMI output Blu-ray and now the window 7 can be as competitive as Snow Leopard. etc.... so my question is why Microsoft never fight back like Android. or did they?
