Am I able to use a co-signer with prosper.com?
Hello,I am trying to get a personal loan of $5000. I have a co-signer with a credit score of 640+ who will back me up on this.I want to join prosper.com and get a loan with my co-signer.Will I be able to do this,and if so,how will I be able to do this.Do I sign up and say my credit score is 640+(by the way,I have not established a line of credit yet)and Say in the description that I will be using a co-signer,or does my co-signer has to make an account as well?please tell me how this works. NOTE:please only answers,I am not interested in contacting anyone who will give me a loan!

640 is not the greatest credit score...this is really close to subprime territory. If you manage to get a loan on prosper the interest rate will be high.

Peer to Peer lending is not set up for co-signers. Husbands and Wives can't even list a request together. Your request stands on it's own. And a 640 credit score is the lowest they will allow to list right now.
