Target Job Interview or not?

Today I filled out an application at a Target store on one of the automated computers and went to the customer service desk like it told me to. When I got there they said they reviewed my application and wanted to know if I could come back Wednesday at 4:30. I have never had a job before. However they told my friend who has worked at subway before that they would call her to schedule and interview. She applied the same time as me. Did I get an interview? and if so why did they tell her they would call her when she has the most job experience? ( I handed in my app first though, does it make a difference?)
