eBay feedback
Question
I sold a junk laptop on ebay. I listed it as laptop for parts repair and sold as is (on title).?
I sold a junk laptop on ebay. I listed it as laptop for parts repair and sold as is (on title).? Buyer paid $85 now wants money back and is threatening a paypal claim. This item was missing many parts and I listed it as such. In addition to the sold for parts/repair on listing on the title I put no returns accepted in description. Also in the his email he implies that he has opened up laptop ! Does he have a case ? Please have genuine ebay/paypal experience (account with 500+ feedback points) or else I have to assume your answer is not genuine and you are seeking points. Sorry :(

FYI - Just because someone doesn't have 500+ feedback points does not mean that someone doesn't have eBay or PayPal experience and it does not mean that they do not have thorough knowledge on either subject. Also, people on Yahoo! Answers don't just answer questions to help people out; they answer so that they can earn points and move up in YA levels, as well. So yes, a lot of the people who answer questions are doing so for the points. Sorry. :( Moving on... If you really sold it "as is" and you made it clear that this laptop was being sold as such in both the title and the description AND you listed all the missing parts in the description, then you won't have worry because he won't have much of claim. Keep copies of your listing as well as any and all correspondence (emails, letters, etc.) between the two of you. If you listed it as you said you did, the buyer is an idiot for not thoroughly reading the description before the bid on the item and he'll just have to deal with his mistake. Also, it doesn't matter if the buyer opened the laptop when he got it. He can smash it to pieces or set it on fire if he wants to because he paid for it and it is now his. He can't, however, ruin the the item or take parts from it and then claim that you sent it that way. Point is, I really don't think you have to worry. He can open a claim if he wants to, but provided you have all your documents that says he's wrong, you'll be fine. www ...
