Question
Why are BT such a bad company?
I ended my custom with BT 2 years ago this month. During the time when i cancelled my account i tried to get through to them on the phone. I tried every day for a week and could not get through, on one of the days i was on the line for 90 minutes being pushed from department to department! On other days i was on the phone for 20 minutes, 40 minutes and 50 minutes waiting to speak with someone who never came. I then decided to cancel my account in writing. I wrote to BT explaining my position and that i wished to cancel. As i was in credit with them i asked them to send me that money via cheque to my new address (which is my current address) which i included in the letter. After i sent this letter I heard absolutely nothing from BT for 2 years until saturday just gone when i had an unexpected and shocking letter from a debt collection agency saying that i owe BT £150.00. Up until this, i never even had a letter of any kind from BT let alone a bill, i gave them my new address so there is no excuse as to why they didnt contact me (if they lost it, thats their problem). When i first joined BT in 2006 they also tried to con £124 from me for 'installation' when they never 'installed' anything as the line was already in place. I have found many examples on the internet of people who have experienced disgustingly low levels of customer service (and thats when they manage to get through) and examples of BT billing people for things that do not exist. Is that not fraud? Poxcas, F*ck off
