Are there really in employers that hire to work at home?
I am looking for a work at home employment opportunity not a home based business. Are there legitimate companies out there that hire only to work at home for typing or customer service? And how do I find them if there are. I do not want a business at home just employment at home with no fees attached. Thanks for any help

You need to send your resume out to real jobs you are qualified to do. In your cover letter you need to state that you wish to work remotely, from your home office. LOTS of companies, especially in CA operate this way. They usually provide transportation for you to come in for an interview and for you to attend company meetings a few times a year, but otherwise everything is done online

Sure. My company hires all our salespeople and system consultants to work from home. Hardware techs too. You have to have a degree and experience. We also have a lady that does CSI calls from home. I am a product Manager and I work from home when I have a sick kid or need a repairman to come to the house, etc. Most large comapnies have people who tellecomute.

Don't be ridiculous. This has been asked and answered a gazillion times already. The only way you can work from your home is if your current employer and the type of work you do allows for telecommuting, at least part of the time. Or start your own business. No exceptions! No excuses. Wise up or you are vulture-food.

Here's a hint - if they are asking you for access to your bank account, or any money up front, for any reason, they're a scam. REAL work at home employment is pretty rare, unless you already have the job, and THEY want to move you to your house a day or two a week.

www.athomeopps.com lists companies that hire people to work from home. It is very well possible. If you think about it it is exponentially cheaper to have employees work from home in certain markets like customer service.
