How do you advertise your website for free?

I have just made my own website, www.eaglesphootballtalk.ipbfree.com (Eagles forums) and I'm trying to get the word out about it. I've submitted my URL to a few search engines, but is there another way to get the word out about my site?

i call it the 3 foot rule. any one that comes with in 3 feet of you gets a card with your web site address on it. meemeing is the way to go . as is social web sites like facebook, twitter
