Charities pay 5% V.A.T on their electricity bills....?
Does anyone know which year that 5% rate was brought in, or where I could find out ? .

In The 1998 - 1999 budget at 5% at 8% for the 3 or 4 years prior No Vat at all before 94/95 budget.

yes. Originally it was going to be the then normal rate of 15% for all of us but H,M,G, thankfully got cold feet
