First, always be true to yourself. I would need to know more about the organization, the environment, and who receives the newsletter? If you are introducing yourself to corporate minded customers you'd want a more polished introduction. However, if you speaking to a shop-floor; be light and enjoyable. The product and/or brand you represent should play a role, as well. If you are selling toys you'll want to take a jovial approach, whereas if you are selling insulation you'll want to sound like an energy-efficiency aficionado. Re-write the question with these things in mind, and I'll provide you with a mind-blowing introduction.

I would write in the 1st party and introduce yourself. Write a bit about yourself, make it friendly and informal, but include all the info they need to no as well like your email, etc, etc.
