World Financial Group reputation?
Can anyone relay any experiences to me about World Financial Group? I went to an "interview" with them this week, and it seemed like a really big multi-level marketing scheme. The company is pretty big and they make it sound great. But fact is, I'm 30 years old with two little kids at home and I'm accustomed to making a large salary. I can't afford to waste time with a "career" that may not be legitimate.

WFG is a descendant of a company called World Marketing Alliance, which was about as shady as they get. Basically, the company was sued so many times and had such bad publicity that they changed their name. They also claim to have changed their business practices, but there is a lot of disagreement about that. Personally, I would not buy anything from WFG because you're paying sales loads and commissions that you won't pay with other financial companies that offer investments which are just as good or better. I would not work for WFG for the same reason. People are becoming wiser investors and most people know that there are many companies who are better to deal with rather than WFG.

You are correct that it is "a really big multi-level marketing scheme." Their successful workers spend most of their time recruiting still more participants. I do not know of anyone with a legitimate career actually selling the products.
