Know what you're doing, treat your employees as you would like to be treated. And make sure the employees know the inside and outside of the business, Most of all, treat your customers as if they are the most important people in the world, because in the long run, they are. Without them you wouldn't have a paycheck. These things apply no matter what business you are in. Another thing you shouldn't do is have a customer standing in front of you talking to you, and the phone rings. Never, never take that call over the person who is in your office. This has happened to me and it is the height of rudeness and the caller will most likely assume you are either busy or out of the office and call back (voice mail is great). A successful entrepreneur should start small and build the business up when feasible. I think lots of successful business people have done this and succeeded.

Just plain old common sense. I have worked since I was fourteen and have seen many ways people run their businesses. There will be nice people and rude people, treat the rude ones (if you can) the same as you treat the nice ones.

Self Motivation Integrity a Vision of success Organizational ability Persistence Persuasiveness Adaptability These are just some and not necessarily in order of importance. We're all different. I recommend you check out some of the entrepreneur magazines like INC.com and Entrepreneur.com to find out more about them.
