Are there companies that invest in start-up companies, if so, can you provide a link?

Not sure why someone deleted my previous question within seconds of my posting so I will ask again. I created a website that has a lot of potential but I don't have the funds to put thousands of dollars into promoting/advertising it....Are there companies out there that will look at the idea (the website is live and running but only has a few members), analyze whether there is good potential, make a decision, and if they decide yes they will invest into the idea (by way of advertising the website via magazine ads, newspaper ads, craigslist, radio, tv ads, google ad words, internet ads, etc.) and get a % of all future profits...
