Question
New corporation startup using the name of a previously dissolved corporation?
If I were to completely dissolve my corporation (s-corp), would someone else be able to startup a new corporation using the same business name after the date of legal dissolution? Is a dissolved corporations name "fair-game" after complete dissoluton?

The answer to the question depends on the laws of the State you are incorporated in. I work with Nevada Corporations, and in the State of Nevada, if your entity is dissolved, then the name is in fact available. I would assume that this would be the standard for all States. That being said, without knowing what State you are incorporated in, it is hard to provide an answer that is 100% accurate and truthful. A good way to find out would be to make a 5 minute call your Secretary of State and ask them. They should be able to tell you right away.
