1. Postage is set by you. You don't have to use the exact price from the post office if you don't want to. In my experience most sellers tend to adjust their postage costs upwards to make sure they don't make a loss on sending the item(s) out. Also, there should be postage price lists online, so there would be no need to physically go to the post office. 2. In Paypal, you can choose whether you want your monies transferred to your credit card / bank account, or saved on account to use for further purchases. The ebay walkthrough is really helpful and although it may seem a bit overwhelming at first, it really isn't much trickier to be a seller than it is to be a buyer. Good luck!

You can find prices for Royal Mail at www ... With postal strikes looming, you might do better going to www ... When you've got money in your PayPal account, you can do an "instant" transfer to your bank account. Simply go to your PayPal account page. It takes 1 - 4 days for the money to arrive depending on your bank.

get a schedule of postage rates from the post office bear in mind that its not only weight but in some cases dimensions that affect the postage rate add in some fudge factor to cover the cost of the materials and your time. check ebay for listing of similar items and make certain you put your goods into the same category/categories. check for typos, make sure you spell stuff correctly otherwise you will make it harder for potential purchasers to see it. make certain you list it using simialr terms as other successful sales make sure you take as many photos as required from all relevant angles be honest about the goods, the condition they are in, whether you have tested them and so on. if you have a paypal account the funds should clear straight away into whatever accoutn or card you have specified

Take a photo of your wares and reduce their size by about 25% follow the selling instructions, get a postal update of their charges from the P/O you can in fact make your own charges for post and packing but you must stick to them

Royalmail.com gives you lightweight prices. I use UPS via interparcel.com for heavier items over 10kg, better service/cheaper price AND they pick up, track and get signature! Just sent 16kg and 19kg parcels for £8.04 each compared to Royal Mail at £14.64. I use the money in Paypal to buy other things, or you can get transferred to your bank account.

For shipping i use usps.com and use the shipping calculator. You want some type of tracking or delivery conf. When you're paid thru paypal the money is in an account, you can "request funds" when you're logged in to paypal.
