Question

Are these normal feelings for an entrepreneur?

1) I hate following orders so much that I actually feel guilty when I do what I'm told. if they can explain to me why and I agree with them, there is no problem. if they have a stupid reason, I usually get a little agitated, but I usually don't want any trouble. if they don't give me a reason, I get pissed as hell and feel horrible if I do it 2) I base my decisions on what is effective and will get results 3) more importantly, I am an idealist (my mbti is ENFP) and I base my decisions on my values 4) I am not a trouble maker, but if someone disrespects me, I feel the need to check them (which I try to do as gently as possible, usually I try to talk to them first) 5) my biggest pet peeve is people trying to control others. I hate bullies, dictators, bureaucrats, and people who use their "authority" to power trip people with a passion 6) I have to be myself to be happy and if I don't like something, I will say it 7) I'm not as tactful as I'd like to be, but I try 8) 40 hours a week is way too much for me long term, but I'm willing to work my ass off 80 hours a week until I can get a profitable business running that will only require 10 a week. 9) similar to the above, I'm extremely future oriented and am willing to sacrifice my high school social life to be able to enjoy the rest of my life in a stress free way that will allow me to grow 10) I feel guilty if I don't stand out. I have to be different and independent (that's not to say I'm not social) 11) I try to be friendly and to everyone and respect them 12) I am extremely playful affectionate and don't hide it 13) my goal is to have the money, but, more importantly, the time and freedom to do what I want, have what I want, go where I want, and not have to do what I don't want 14) I always try to support people and I can't stand haters 15) I am surprisingly feminine sometimes. I love little kids, I'm a singer and extremely music oriented, and I like to be nurturing and hospitable 16) I am white but I relate more to pimps, rappers, and gangsters than the stereotypical white dude

Sounds a lot like me. (although I am ENTJ). I couldnt handle authority/working for people. Started my first "real" business in HS. In college I was running my own shop hiring people and the such. Now I'm hiring just short of 50 people around the world, and loving every minute of what I do. My initial goal was to work hard so I didn't have to work hard in the future. Now however I work like 80 hours a week because its my favorite thing to do and I love it- but different strokes for different folks. I went through your list and agreed to everything... maybe except the pimps, rappers, and gangsters part. I'm a boots and chaps and cowboy hats kinda guy. Don't sacrifice too much- I sacrificed my entire HS social life and college social life to get a head start. Yeah I got a ton of cash, and love my job (self employed), and I'm on my 4th business, but I miss some of those opportunities. happy medium ;)
