how do i add a shipment calculation to paypal?

Question

I want to have a shipment option where the customer types in their address and the pay pal program calculates the cost using. i at least want to type in a certain amount for different regions meaning countries or even have a company like UPS or DHL or Fedex calculate it for them. sure I can go into the store calculate online but that is not what i am looking for i want the customer to type in their address and the program/ pay pal reads the international country and fills in the shipping cost.. i have not yet had a straight answer from the mail service providers they just say go talk to some one in the store - then the people in the stores say ‘they have no say over online applications’...... I cannot put a flat rate on an item because that same item could go to completely different continents meaning the price break would be completely different.

That leaves it up to the buyer to decide what the weight is and such, which is a step most customers aren't willing to take the time to do. Have them email you about type of shipping, then email back what the fee would be to cover it on your product. ALL shipping costs depend on distance traveled, version of the service used, and the weight. The customer may not be able to know all three of those to make an informed choice. As the seller, it's up to you to do that part of the sale.
