Question

WHERE CAN I GET A CAR LOAN WITH BAD CREDIT AND A BANKRUPCY ON MY CREDIT REPORT?

I have tried several places, including banks and dealerships and i cant get approved anywhere. I know people who have gotten car loans just after filing bankrupcy and they walk away with a new car, I cant even get approved for a used car. I need a new vehicle and really soon.

Auto finance is what I do for a living and there are several lenders out there that will loan to people with fresh BK discharges. Find a large dealer that advertises Special Finance and go talk to the Manager they should be able to help you.

The only people who will approve you are the dealers that "finance everyone" where you'll pay 25% percent interest on a car that sells for twice what it's worth. Think about this for a minute...would you loan you money with bad credit and a bankruptcy? If you really do know people who "walked away with a new car" why don't you ask them how they got it?

My god...I had to report 4 or 5 spammers on this question. I was recently discharged from bankruptcy myself this past April and I know for a fact Capital One online will extend credit. I would do a yahoo search for 'bad credit auto loans' and pick a familar name. Merrick bank is also a sub prime lender thats considered a 'big name' bank. Another good place I would check is a local credit union, they are much more lenient to extend credit to people with poor history or past bankruptcies. I was discharged in April and got a personal loan from my bank 3 weeks ago with 4.25% interest for 12 months. Dont let people scare you about high interest. Yeah, its not going to be the market going rate of 6 or 7% but my co-worker filed chapter 7 last year and 3 months post discharge got a loan from a used car lot (dont know the exact bank that did the loan) for 9.5% and 0 down. Good luck!!

check at a local credit union. they gave me a car loan and a secured credit card which will help re-establish my credit post bankrupcy.
