Can someone help me with information on buying my first home?

I am in the military (air national guard) and just recently got married. Right now i am in texas because of tech school training and then in jan i will be home. I plan on purchasing a house within a few months of getting home. I will have about 15k saved up by then and am planning on buying a HUD home for 36000, hopefully cheaper by then. Can anyone tell me if i am qualified for first time home owners loan or anything of that sort? Btw my hometown is indiana.
