I am buying a home from my cousin. Am I eligible for the first time home buyer credit?

The IRS form list relativs as ancetors ( parents, gandparents) and descndent.

I don't think so you should ask your realtor or attorney they should know.

Well you answered your own question. Your cousin isn't your parent or grandparent and you didn't descend from your cousin so your answer is yes your eligible.
