Question

Should I get extra insurance for my company that sells snack food products to retailers?

I buy snack food products, jerky, etc from a larger company and sell them to retail stores. The company is insured as well as the products. Should I get extra general liability insurance for myself? If someone gets sick from the product is the manufacturer at fault or the distributor?

Two things work in favor for you here. The large company that make the product has alot more money then you. Lawyers sue people with lots of money. That's not you. You are not making the product, you not selling questionable 2nd rate product. You liability is very, very small. They would have to prove you or a employee damaged the product in someway. Like you left milk out side and it got hot but then you cooled it and sold it any way.
