Question

Need to file a small claim for a contractor, but don't have the address. What to do?

We are looking into taking our ex-contractor to small claims, as he did not finish a job he was supposed to. We have a licence number, phone number, name, but no address. From what I understand, I need an address to send him a certified letter letting him know we're taking him to small claims. What can I do if I don't have an address? He doesn't have an office, as he does his work out of people's homes. Thank you in advance. I really need advice.

Do you have a signed work contract? His address should be on that. Also to find his address, you just call or go online to the secretary of state, look up his business name, and there will be an address with that.
