How to advertise myself?
I'd like to make my own website, but I don't know any good (free) web builders. How about business cards? See, i'm a student getting my degree in business then heading off to culinary school. I'd love to own my own bakery someday & I thought it'd be a good idea to do some baking for parties or events (small like birthday parties or something similar) just to get myself out there. I'd love a website that can visually show all I can do & business cards to promote myself. But where to start? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

you can get free to very low cost business cards at www.vistaprint.com i have used them and they are great. I use domain.com for my website, however i am not thrilled with it -its ok. I suggest 1on1.com to check out. you should make a flyer or brochure and put it out there where ever you can leave them such as bulletin boards, community centers, party places etc. you will need to put up pics of what you can offer in your website and your brochures. you can make the flyer and brochure with vista print too. its cheaper.

Right off the bat, before you get all the collateral material going, take some birthday cupcakes to places like day cares, party shops, toy stores, more and show your skills around. You'll be surprised how many people will hire you because they like your work!
