A walmart order needs to be canceled. How should I do?

Hello everyone I ordered one camera via Wal-Mart on line. I chose to pick up the item in Long Island because I thought I would be New York next week. However, my schedule changed and I had to return to my country immediately. I tried to cancel the order on line after everything settle down.. Unfortunately, the order status shows the item has been shipped and can not be canceled. I immediately contacted Wal-Mart for this problem. Their representative told me that I need to go to the store to cancel this order personally. I can not flight to New York just for a camera. That doesn't make any sense. Does anyone know how I should do now? Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks.
