Question
Real estate agent represents both the buyer and the seller?
My real estate agent is representing both me ( as the seller ) and another individual ( as the seller ) Is this legal in the state of Texas? Is it a common practise? Seems to me you would have a conflict of interests. The agent did lower her commission rate from 6 to 5%. sorry, I am the seller, and the real estate agent is representing both me and the BUYER.

Yes, it is legal, but all parties have to know about it. You should have signed a Dual Agency contract, showing that you are aware of the situation. You are still the primary client.

yes if it's good or not is questionable. there may be situation when your agent is better negotiator than the buyer's agent, but there also can be opposite situation. With only one agent it's leveraged

It is legal but note that the agent is really the seller's agent and looks out for their best interest, not the buyers. So you should not care but the buyer might. If I were the buyer, I would get my own agent because you have to pay the agents' fees so the extra 1% comes out of your money.

It's normal, especially for you as the seller. The buyer would probably feel more secure with own agent, but that's not your problem...
