Want to introduce money into my website?

Basically, I have a site that has quite a few users visting now. It basically offers users to create and host there own web-based apps to the public, using whatever they like, i.e Java, JavaScript, Flash, or even just HTML and JavaScript, PHP or ASP. But, now its costing me a bit more to host my site and I dont think i can keep up. If I want people to donate some money, (we are about 50p and £1 for a year), then what legality issues are introduce? Do i need more licenses as I am now dealing with money? Please Help.
