Question
How do you get Yahoo, Google or other major search engines to RE-CRAWL your site after making changes?
We made changes to our site and we were wondering how long it would take for the system to re-crawl on it's own, as well, if there are ways to make it re-crawl faster. www.anchorofloveministries.org Anchor of Love Ministries II Church in Grand Ledge, MI

In general, the more links you have coming into a site, the more often the bots will come back. There are also some indications that Googlebot comes back more often if the content seems to change regularly. Set up an XML sitemap. Register it in Google Webmaster Tools.

Use your sitemap. Ping your website, that really helps.

It will take time, but you should check out PingoMatic to ping the search engines for you. It is absolutely free and runs off the webpage. Good luck and also consider adding a sitemap to your site.
