Question

A friend of mine at Usana said that if I joined Scientology?

That I could get the audits for free (whats an audit?) and move right into the commission structure of the church. She hinted that she is making nearly as much commissions at the church as our Usana groups. I don't want to sound stupid to her so what are some of the things it takes to be a Scientologer ? What questions should I ask to know if it is a pyramid scheme or not?

Any questions people can give you on this board Scientology will already have answers for. The important thing is that you develop the ability to think critically about a topic and not simply assume that what the person is telling you is the truth. You should apply the same mindset to USANA. Questioning what you are told and verifying the truth behind it and what it really means is the only way to avoid pyramid schemes/cults like Scientology and USANA. Auditing is a practice in Scientology which many critics have claimed to be similar to cult style programming. The same could be said about many USANA recruitment drives and meetings. It's too bad that you're only now asking "what questions should I ask to know if it is a pyramid scheme or not" because you really could have used those before you joined USANA. That's right, USANA itself is a pyramid scheme. Within USANA 90% of participants lose money because they are trying to sell over-priced products. The involved in the USANA pyramid scheme are required to make purchases every 4 weeks in order to receive commissions. They do not make commissions on these purchases. The cost of USANAs products is 3 times the cost of products of the same quality available in store. These required purchases often turn up on ebay which demonstrates the people purchasing do not want them. The founder of USANA has renounced his US citizenship and has moved the companies assets to foreign soil. USANA awards stock to its Officers and then repurchases them as a way of funneling money out of the scheme and into the pockets of those controlling it. Many Officers have lied in their biographies and on their resume's about their educations and credentials. When these lies were discovered the company did nothing. Check the sources I provided for an explanation of what Auditing is and for more information on why you got hosed when you got into USANA.
