Question
why do all the customer review websites give such high ratings for everything?
I mean everything is 5 stars! If everything is so great why rate anything? According to Yelp or whatever your lucky if the store takes your money. How is this helpful?

It's because most of those "Review" sites are actually affiliates trying to sell a product. There are legitimate reviews sites, though. Amazon is one of them. The customer reviews are genuine and I almost always rely on them before purchasing something. Example: tinyurl ...
