Question

Question for Rhode Island Realtors!?

I used to go to school in the Providence/Cranston area and spent plenty of afternoons at Roger Williams Park. One house on the edge of the park was completely captivating, even though it needed a ton of work. I've always wondered if anyone bought it, restored it or knocked it down (would be a shame because it was architecturally stunning). I don't know the exact address- Google Maps and Earth show anything from 303 to 380 Norwood Avenue in either Providence or Cranston but I'm pretty sure it was over the Cranston border. It was the very last house on the street, on a large lot, just before you hit the main road surrounding Roger Williams Park. I don't know if its still there but there used to be a plaque on the brick pillars in front- not positive but could've sworn it said Edgewood (?)- however I know there's a B&B down the street called the Edgewood Manor so its not the same building. Can anyone tell me whats happened to this property? I used to dream I'd buy and restore it someday but I'm sure it would be an expensive project! I'd love to hear any historical info about the place too!

I live in that neighborhood by the park and the house was sold and bought maybe a year ago....I didn't think that the house needed a ton of work (never saw tradesman or construction vans outside). The plaque says Edgewood because it's in Edgewood; that's the name of our community/neighborhood. I think a lot of people have plaques or flags that say Edgewood because it's a historical neighborhood (revolutionary war started there with the burning of the gaspee). I bet the price tag on that house was fairly high...all of the houses on that side of norwood ave go for at least $500,000. I hope this helped!
