Question
Should I open the ultimate "One Stop Nerd Shop"?
In my area there are only two stores dedicated to "hobby games", like Dungeon's and Dragons, Magic the Gathering, Warhammer, Starwars stuff, etc. Yet, both are over 25 miles away! I live in a very populated suburb around one of the most populated cities in America so I think there is a crowd for this stuff. I also want to infuse the store with computer repair, building, & parts, the buying and selling of video games that you can't find anymore (like NES, Sega, etc.), and a place to have a LAN party/internet cafe... all three of these things as set businesses have failed in the last five years. You can't do any of them around here without finding someplace really obscure. I think with all these different "nerd" things it would draw in a lot of customers. I was also thinking of having a giant lounge and game room with tournaments and prizes of gift certs. and stuff. Also, my trustworthy friends love this kind of stuff so I will have cheap employees too! What do you think? Any business ideas? Where do I even get the inventory for all that stuff?!?

It's a great concept, but unless you've got thousands of your own dollars laying around collecting dust, financing is going to be your biggest obstacle in this economy. Second hurdle will be people who have money to spend on this stuff instead of just lounging around playing games for free.

Sounds like a good idea. You need to start advertising for 2nd hand stock.
