Does anyone out their know if my neighbors can do that?
My neighbors are using a camera to watch their yard for security and it really looks like one of them is pointed on my property too, can they do that?

Unless otherwise state in the Covenants and Restrictions or by laws of the City or County in which you live- they have the right to install cameras on their property for protection. If you are concerned- ask the local police to come see if there is an invasion of privacy issue. Just call the station- not 911.

Different states have different laws, but as far as I know they can in fact point a camera a your property. Most privacy laws, in terms of observation, are applied to individuals, not property.

it probably has to point in the general direction of your property to cover that area of their property.

Sure can? I can stand in the public street or on the public sidewalk and take all the pictures of your home all I want. Thats how I get my photos of comparables homes for appraisals. Goggle earth can even look into your back yard. Unless you have something to hide, what do you care.
