Any suggestions for a memorable brand name for a pillow?
I have been exporting pillows to the US, Europe for 9 years and for the first time i'am launching domestically in my country India. We're in the brand strategizing process starting with a suitable brand name. TARGET AUDIENCE : bottom of the pyramid/ the masses/ common man USP - unique imported fabric and fibre, atttractive colours/desgin, competitve price, maximum visbility (available even in your local grocery shop) POSITIONING - A pillow for the common man that will give him a good night's rest as well as add a positive vibe and colour in his life. Please help me with memorable brand name suggestions that will have an emotional connect with my target audience!!

Many products are named after relevant Gods, famous writings and scriptures, and famous people. Is their a God of sleep in India? Perhaps a word that means slumber. I know you have many distinct groups in India and need to market to the whole population. You also have to acknowledge that people in India are seeking more status in life. I imagine that some of your customers may have never owned a pillow before. A simple word equating the pillow to the feeling of rising to heaven would be wonderful. It would also suggest you are raising their status to that of other more wealthy people. You could use words like NIRVANA, HEAVEN SLEPT or BLISS. Hypnos is the Greek God of sleep and slumber who can put anyone into a deep sleep. Hypnos is a name used for a bed and mattress manufacturer in the UK. HYPNOS may be an answer. But obvioulsy try to get an Indian name for the same prodcut as people will relate to that even better. In Australia we had the Sleep fairy as a childhood story of a imagined fairy who would come into our rooms, sprinkle sleeping dust on us and make us fall asleep. Sleep fairy pillow sounds good too. But use an Indian deity or story character.
