I need fresh business promotional ideas! any marketers, advertisers? business buffs out there?

Question

im so burned out on working so much, paying hefty advertising bills 20k annually for a home based business in the local yellow pages etc..i work about 16hrs a day, sometimes 18 etc... i want to work smarter, not harder lol... i have enjoyed a comfortable income for some years, but due to factors like the recession/depression, living in a city with declining population ( declining aggregate income) etc.. i find it is necessary to be aggressive and make changes to create new business... what im getting at is the economic climate/demographics in my area have changed dramatically with a smaller piece of the pie available etc... so i have to be creative and go after business now versus being used to it falling into my lap like previous yrs... i will work 18yrs a day no problem, but, like any business it is necessary to roll with changes and its time too... any business minds, marketing, advertising buffs out there with fresh ideas? i have a male stripper/entertainment biz... we do parties for ladies etc.. thanks

Congratulations on your previous success, your hard work and your ability to seek advice early. Please understand these are only ideas and not essentially what You need, but here goes. 1/ You could consider adding value by partnering your stripping business with an adult toys/lingerie business. You could even have toy/lingerie parties where a male dancer performs as a bonus. 2/ There may be a way to sell clothing through male modelling. You could "rent" a male stripper to a clothes business where he will model clothes from that shop throughout the day. You get paid, and also get the opportunity to offer business cards in a shopping mall type environment. The man would be fully dressed of course. Your business card there would be more respectful. 3/ You may find that car yards may be interested in "renting" models as a "Ladies special prices Day". You of course advertise your main business at the same time. 4/ What about a charity car wash which will generate free advertising through television and newspaper. You have to contact them to know its on. The men wash cars with no shirt on. The money made goes to charity. You sell advertising to other businesses in signage while the event is on. 5/ Consider teaming up with a female strip company and sharing the promotion or charity events. 6/ Stand out the front of popular events and use their customer flow to advertise your business. I know of a famous band(I forget their name) who played outside a large concert by a very famous rock group. The people in line were entertained and the group was discovered and signed to a record deal. 7/ I have heard of some men dressing as women and doing a female cabaret, like the movie THE BIRDCAGE with Robin Williams, and then selling Tupperware. You could have Tupperware parties, which are almost exclusively women customers and offer a male dancer/s as the person who displays the item for sale. These are all off the top of my head, and not knowing your exact situation I hope they fit in with what you are able to offer in your area. Good luck with everything.
