Question

Is UPS just going to hold my product until the date it's supposed to be delivered?

I sent my camera in to Samsung for repair. They're returning it via UPS. I've been tracking the progress of my camera, and the expected delivery date is tomorrow. However, my camera has been at the same place for two days. And its current location is only an hour and forty-five minutes away from my house. UPS supposedly operates between 9 A.M. and 7 P.M. Are they just going to hold my camera so that I get it on the expected delivery date? I figured they could deliver it early. But apparently not.

They probably schedule items for specific delivery dates due to logistical planning. For example, doing this means that they'll always know that they'll be able to fit everything on the delivery truck for a specific date's deliveries. If you want your item early, you *may* be able to go pick it up at UPS. To do this, call that UPS facility, give them the tracking number, and ask them to hold the item for "will call". Then go pick it up. (I've only done "will call" when the item is at the last UPS location before being delivered to me - you probably can't do "will call" at a facility earlier in the chain since it's probably not a place that they do end-customer deliveries from.)
