Question

How do they work this rent amount out ?

Ok, here is an add from a house/room rental posted online, how did they get to this figure for the monthly price, what are they dividing to get that weekly rate?! Or am I overlooking something here ! See Below -------- Pure luxury.................. first to see will take it £490 a month (£114 a week) a bargain its worth about £550 a month (£1100 for the whole apartment)

So what they are saying is that at the moment the room is 490 a month, but it's worth £550 and the whole flat is worth £1100. But: 490 for the room per month multiplyed by 12 months in a year, divided by 52 weeks in a year = £113.07 but they rounded up and turned it into a pound! making it £114 per week. So yes your right it doesn't really work out, because if they just did it 4 weekly (£114 per week x 4 would give 456) sounds like they have done the first example above and just rounded it up, which really they shouldn't be doing, because it isn't £114 per week! If your interested, why not give them an email and just ask them to clarify the rent. Your right to watch out and no your not overlooking anything. In my past experience a lot of people do things like this! Just be very careful!

You would be renting one of the 2 bed rooms only plus use of communal area. In other words, a house/apartment share.
