Should i give my ss# to a co. that wants to advertise on my blog ?
www ... heres that link . as you can see they are with the google affiliate net work if you click the link on the bottom where it say COMPLETE THE ONLINE APPLICATION. it takes you to the application where under; PAYMENT INFORMATION they ask for my SS# "Your Federal Tax ID / Social Security Number If you are a U.S. resident, Google Affiliate Network must have your Federal Tax ID / Social Security Number for tax reporting purposes. If you or your company are not based in the United States, please leave this field blank." so should i give it or is it a bad idea?

Yes & No ! YES, it looks good after a quick review, but don't take my word for it. Call the 800 number listed and test the service out. If your not happy with the way your treated, than don't bother. That's exactly how your customers will be treated. Keep in mind that if they have to pay you a commission, they will report this to the IRS. So expect them to request your Social number or Tax ID number for payroll purposes.
