A cheap and reliable VoIP service provider for small organizations in the greater Montreal area?
It's really hard to know what to look for when everything is so technical and companies keep popping up and going out of business...

I would recommend FreedomIQ. They are a hosted service, which means that they take care of all the equipment and all you have to do is buy a phone and plug it into your internet connection. The service has been around for years and is being adopted by businesses everywhere. Also, I know that the service is availible in Canada. You can find them online by Googleing FreedomIQ.

do not bother with VOIP, i have been monitoring them since say one and the rule of physics is simple; the more stress or labor or 'piggy back" you put on anything, the less quality you will get out of it. YOU can't give me a VOIP service; i had a beta free one years ago and it was horrible. I do not accept that VOIP has gained in quality since i know it is a phone service using the internet phone lines ONTOP of the dial up or dsl.
