How much does it costs to launch and operate a website?
I'm interested in starting my own web site, I want to have the option to advertise. I will need my own website as opposed to wordpress or other free services. I would appricate any advises in planning and design my site, but I want to have a benchmark rate to compare against. The work includes: 1. Purchasing domain name 2. Set up hosting 3. Design site - simple site including following functions: - categories, search, text / image boxes, header, ad placement areas 4. Launch site - I will maintain/ upload new content daily I live in India/Bangalore. Regards,

free go to webs.com design yourself use there free domain names list your webs site on google free again start listing your webs site on every free business directory website eg. Hot frog, Gumtree, yellow pages online, true local and every other directory. Keep updating your website any time make sure you list the date you change it on front page google will visit your site more often if you update your site more often It worked for me 3 years and never spent a cent average 2000 vistors a month more work than i can do more you put in more you get back.

If you are from India , Domain cost : Rs.499-599 ( for .com , it costs little more for .in or .co.in say Rs.900 ) Hosting : Rs 2000-5000 ( depends on your requirement ) Designing site : It depends on your requirement again. www.gingerchai.com

Depends on what you are doing/selling. Take a look at some companies that offer site builders or if you are thinking of selling products try an e-commerce site or partner with a company that has a standard template that you can just add what you want to it visit www.xtremebodies.net and then take a look at www.ardyss.com the provide you with a domain for your customers
