Question

Feedback, help, advice? etsy users...anyone?

I set up an account on etsy a few days ago to see if anyone will buy my prints. They're great quality, they're available in a bunch of sizes etc. The point of setting up this shop wasn't really to sell but to see if there would be sells. Not sure if that makes sense. Lol. Anyway here's the link: www.omgwtfapplsauz.etsy.com I'd like feedback, critique, anything. :)

Okay, I looked at the site. I am going to tell you what I saw and I am only being honest to help you succeed. When I clicked it on the first thing I saw was your banner, It looked confusing and I thought you had old c.d tapes all tangled up, I quickly moved down. Then I saw the pictures and got more confused...what are they selling? If I did not know any better I would of clicked it off thinking I ran into a site I should not be on. But, after looking really good I understood what was going on. And I love what you have to sell and offer. You simply need to make some changes to express what it is you have to sell. - Change the banner at the top and the words that tangle in with it you can not read. Make your banner into a classy black and white. With a tag line under your business name, something like: Unique prints for unique you! - If you can frame each photo on your home page. Show the price with the frame and without. If you can only show one price show the unframe photo price then on the information page show with the frame price and options. (Same they do with cars they show the best possible image at the low base price, to make it look the same you need to add on cost options). - Change your photo layout on your home page. Your first two rows hits you from the start of opening the site, make these mix with your collection of work. Move down the leg shots, etc. and mix it up. I love the "kids" photo with the marble, I love the girl with the hair (first one), sky views are great, etc. do not put simular ones side by side or in the same area. I would also suggest moving down the leg shot, etc. towards the bottom to not have this focused on first. - Keep the word "Unique Prints" in mind when you work with the site, this gives you an advantatge to your work and site. - Change your profile. Do not tell your age or birth, they will not take you serious, unfortantly those who can afford your prints will not be teens, however hair salons, young minded adults, resturants, etc. will look at your prints, but they seldom what to work with teens. How about making your profile about you in relations to your work and your "eye behind the camera". Again look to use the word UNIQUE. Make it simple, let them know why you do what you do. (My birthday is also Sept only 21). - Right from the get go let them know what you are and what you offer. This means your banner needs to be clear, clean, understood and classy (same as your work). I love what you offer and how your eye works, once I could understand the site, I understood what you do, now show the world! VERY best to you!
