You use a bank debit card pretty much the same way you use an ATM card, except at a cash register instead of an ATM. They'll swipe your card and then ask for your PIN number, which is usually the same one that you use to access your ATM. This is because the debit card withdraws funds directly from your bank account, rather than from a secondary credit line like a credit card. In some ways this is more convenient and safer for your credit score, because you won't be able to spend more than you actually have and won't risk delinquent credit card payments; however, it can also chip away at your bank account pretty quickly if you forget to keep track, and may leave you with less funds than you anticipated the next time you try to make a withdrawal. Go to the store buy something. When they ask for the money give them your debit card. They will slide it into their machine then ask you to put in your pin number. Then type in your pin number.

If it has a Visa or MasterCard logo on it, you can use it anywhere those two are accepted. Use it just as you would a credit card, but the money will come right from your bank account.

i'm sure u know what an atm is... well its a card that take your money out of the same account that the atm withdraws from, you can use it in stores like a credit card, except your using money that you have in the bank...... its pretty much a good credit card. and a small note, don't spend over what you have in the bank.
