It won't hurt to ask the lender if payments can begin one month after you start boot camp (that is about when they will pay you). Making an automatic payment plan. Borrow the money from family (never really a good idea), get a job that only lasts for a few months (landscaping, yard maintenance company), or wait to put the vehicle in for repair until you are about to get your army pay, it will be fixed by the time you get out of bootcamp and ready for you.

Try the bank of "Mom and Dad". No legitimate lender is going to lend money to someone who has no way of paying the money back. Why do you need your car fixed? You have no job and no money for gas. If Mom and Dad can't help why not just wait until you get some money in your account? Welcome to the Real World.
