Question

How much does credit bumping companies usually charge?

Hi Everyone, I wanted to clarify first of all, that I'm not talking about credit fix. I've already paid my debt but in order for the credit score to go up I've heard it takes a while. So, i've heard that they are credit bumping companies that improve your score more rapidly. All you have to do is provide them with the letters saying you've paid your debtors. Have anybody done this? And how much do they usually charge? Do you have some companies' names? Thanks for any guidance you can give.

A rapid rescore may be what you are looking for. Google for companies that offer the service. They typically charge $30 per trade line. There is also credit repair which is a different process but I don't believe that is what you are looking for. Either way, do NOT pay for work until it has been completed. Any company that asks to be paid upfront for work on your credit is breaking the law (Credit Repair Organizations Act).

Paying for this type of thing is one reason your credit is bad - they are a rip off. Many charge you then do nothing! They do nothing that you cannot do yourself - for free.
