Question

how is it that Vista Print can advertise on ebay, "250 free business cards + free shipping"?

I tried this, filled out all my info -cc #, called customer support and they say either or, free cards or free shipping. There is no * or fine print anywhere on their ad. Plain and simple, it says 250 free cards "+" free shipping. How can they lie like this?

I've actually received their free business cards before. They will send you free business cards, free shipping with your design - the catch is that their logo and their website appears on the back of your card, and tells anyone who receives your business card that you had them made free. So by handing out your cards, you're advertising for them at the same time. I ordered mine some time ago, I don't know if they changed the way they handle it but it's free cards AND free shipping, I didn't pay anything to receive my cards. Try speaking with someone else.

Because they have shady business practices in general. Also, if doing business with Vista Print, use Paypal or an e-check and never, ever use a credit card. Check out this Consumer Affairs link for more info: www ... Basically, your cc is now enrolled in some bogus reward program and they'll charge you fees for it. That's how they make their money. Many people go for years without flagging these charges, but now you know what to look for. www ...

They are able to post on ebay because they have the money to do this. Also, since they are advertising on the back of the cards they give you for free, the card is being distributed to your clients. These people will check out their website because it sounds like a great deal, each time you need something you will refer back to them for any additional advertising needs. You feel a little obligation to purchase from them because you got your cards for free from them. I have paid for my cards and purchased as many as 5,000 cards at one time, and I have never had a problem with them entering me into any contests. I have purchase to this day close to 30,000 business cards and have yet to have a problem with them. If you find a niche like they have to advertise your business on free distribution, you too would end up with a successful business like them. It all has to do with allowing time and having the funds to produce a business such as vista print.
