Question

Paypal trouble/e-bay con :(?

Heres the story uk ... uk ... So right now 4 months later, after numerous phone calls between me/police & me/paypal I think it may have come to a end. On a few occasions paypal said if they recieve a police incident report they will refund me, the police must have phoned paypal because paypal told me that they recieved some documents by fax but there were some missing sheets. I call the police to say can you fax me the docs so I will send them to paypal (i would do it straight away unlike the police) but they said they only can send them to paypal if they request them. I rang up paypal to tell them this but they just told me i cant claim for nothing...they said: - only buyers are protected - everything had to be resolved within 2 weeks (the police were dealing with it so i had to wait for them) - they said someone gave wrong info to me when they said i was protected and would recieve refund after the incident report I then had nothing to say because i was shocked...what can i do?

I haven't read your details, I'm sure they are all too depressingly familiar ... see at link . FACT 1) PayPay is NOT a Bank (they are not legally accountable) 2) When you join PayPal, you GIVE UP all your legal rights 3) PayPal is the TARGET of multiple clever scams and frauds every minute of every day .. and THIS is the problem ... In order to remain solvent, PayPal HAS to take the approach that any loss is SOMEONE ELSES loss .... when PayPal is scammed, they PASS ON the loss to some-one else .. immediately and without appeal .. in other words, they are WORKING FOR THE FRAUDSTER .. (don't believe me ? did you try to get details of the other party out ouf PayPal .??? did they say 'no' ? did you have to get a Court Order before they reluctantly released any details ??? (whilst at the same time PayPal was demanding all sorts of documents on YOUR identity ??) Whilst you THINK you are making progress, and that it will 'all be sorted out', the fact is that PayPal is simply giving you the run-around .. all this 'Fax the documents again' (didn't receive, page missing etc etc) and 'send us more and more and more proof of your ID' is just nonsense used to delay delay delay .. ... and delay past the point where you can take any real action outside PayPal (eg. tell your Bank / Card co. you have been defrauded by PayPal and get your Bank to reverse the transaction ..) 4) FACT = PayPal is acting as a Agent for the FRAUDSTER ... You have to stop expecting PayPal to solve the problem and start treating PayPal as part of the problem ....
