Grassroots methods are really the 'hot' thing right now for advertising. Methods such as social media, search engine optimization, etc. It requires ground work and time, but it's relatively inexpensive (depending on how much time) and really, really works!! You could do online advertising. If you have the budget, try banner ads. There are other options as well. You could join social media sites like Twitter and Facebook and promote your site there. You could also visit other blogs, be active in the blogging community, do guest posts on other same-niched sites. Other options are offline marketing. If your site is something that offers products or services, then you could come up with fliers or posters and distribute these in your area. If you have business cards, always include the URL to your site so that whenever you give a card to a person, they'll be aware of your website.
