need help using a credit card!!!!?
my parents just gave me a credit card. i have never used one. and i think im going to today at the mall. but i dont want to look stupid in front of the cashier. how do you use one? like what side do you slide down the machine? and do you wait for them to say something before you put your pin number in? do i have to tell them im using a card? or do i just slide it after they give me the price?thanks!!!!(=

they'll give you the price and there should be a credit card swiper right there on the counter. There is a slit on the top or on the side were you swipe your card. The magnetic back goes into the slit. On the screen it asks you to do either credit or debit. In your case it's credit. Select that and then the screen will ask for a signature. Just sign on the screen. Transaction complete when the reciept comes out at the register. Or some places take the card and swipe it on their register and they have you sign a receipt. Also you asked about putting your pin in. If it's also a debit card that you have you'd just select debit and put your pin in. Make sure you know how much money you have in the bank and don't spend too much money knowing you won't be able to cover it. Good luck.
