Question

How do you pay a credit card balance at a bank if you only have that account there?

Eventually, I will only have a credit card account with Capital One. How would I pay balances out online using my account at another bank? How can checking your credit report hurt your credit score? How can I prevent from hurting myself? How can checking your report help your credit score? Having a credit card with a high limit(i.e. $4000) and owing $100 is better for your credit report than having a credit card with a low limit(i.e. $500) and owing $100 . Is this true? Is paying a balance two days before the due date better for your credit report than paying a balance 10 days before due date?

Capital One has a web site to pay their credit card. You can also use the bill pay feature if you have a bank that has online capabilities. If you check your credit score, that is a soft pull and doesn't affect your credit score. That indication is not visible to most creditors. Having more available revolving credit as well as low debt to available credit ratio is better for your score. It doesn't matter when you pay your balance as long as it is before the due date.
