I'd Like to know about paid surveys.?

Question

Do I just have to pay the one time fee, or are there other hidden fees before I can get started? Can I really make any money off of these things, or is this yet another scam. Truth please.

I have paid to sign up with survey services. Never made a dime. Most that ask you to pay something upfront are a scam. And the ones that are free rarely pay out anything exciting if anything at all. Many take your time and all you get is a CHANCE to win something small in a giveaway drawing that you never win. Occasionally, I've gotten paid one or two dollars for taking a survey that took half and hour to 45 minutes, but that did not happen until I had to TRY to qualify for their survey group about 20 times, each time being led down a preliminary question and answer path that took about 5 minutes, only to be told I didn't qualify. I personally gave up hope on generating substantial income from taking surveys because they almost always disappoint, take way too much time, and rarely pay out anything substantial. If you can get with a local marketing company and participate in their in-person focus groups, those will pay out fairly well. But I will never again pay a fee to belong to a survey service that delivers survey opportunities. Big waste of time and always disappointing.
